Schoen Forestry Pro Gumboot

NZ’S ONLY LEVEL 4 FORESTRY BOOT – the highest level of chainsaw resistance

Schöen has always been a top name in forestry boots but this year it has raised the bar even higher with the launch of the only boot in New Zealand rated to the maximum level of chainsaw protection, providing chainsaw protection for chain speeds up to 32metres per second.

The Schöen Forestry Pro gumboot still has all the features which made earlier versions so popular. But the big difference is that this design is certified to Level 4 chainsaw protection, or chain speeds of up to 32 metres per second, thanks to heavy duty shin, foot and side panels with additional Kevlar.

Like other Schöen Forestry boots, it is available with or without spikes, and from the bottom up has been designed for comfort, durability and safety.

The moulded, 360 SureGrip outsole is flame retardant and resistant to oil, acid and chemicals, while the reinforced insole is multi-layered and features a fibreglass shank for extra support. Hard wearing canvas provides a durable interior lining for the boot.

Over the toe there’s a generous fitting steel cap encased in a textured and abrasion resistant rubber coating for increased external toe protection, and the front of the Schöen Forestry Pro features additional layers of rubber reinforcing for rigidity and insulation.

At the back of the boot, ribbed heels and Achilles panels provide added protection and stability for steady footing on rough or uneven ground, while the laced rubber collar is fully adjustable to keep feet clean and dry, with a reflective safety strip around the top.

PLEASE NOT THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN THE LEVEL CERTIFICATION

The Safety footwear with resistance to chain saw cutting EN ISO 17249 has changed.

This change has resulted in a previous approved level of protection being removed and Level 3 is now the highest level of protection certified.

Despite this cosmetic change we have not changed the construction and formulation of our boots.

Eventually the boots will be stamped with Level 3 instead of 4
