Wire rope services, Splicing, Rope Recovery & Pressing
For any wire rope requirements: stocking swaged, black, standard, non-rotating, stainless steel & galvanised, our 370-tonne wire rope press gives us the ability to press wire rope from 1mm through to 32mm (1 1/4″). This includes regular strand and swaged ropes. We’re proud of our KISWIRE wire rope and what we have achieved for our customers.
- Types of press-on ferrules & talurits include: steel, copper, alloy & nickel plated. The press provides the convenience of an instant pressed eye, which carries similar strength to the rope in its original new state. Second hand wire rope can also have eyes pressed but it is important to take into consideration the factors of worn rope.
- We offer a full service of cutting to length, hand splicing and the fitting of various ferrules, sockets and attachments. Bulk hauler supplies and forestry requirements are in stock now.
- Hand spliced eyes are another specialised service that we offer in a variety of different wire rope splicing options. Splicing of fibral rope is also available, in multi-strand & yachting braids.
Our rope winding and recovery truck service can deliver anywhere in NZ and rig your hauler ropes correctly and with the minimum of delay, reducing downtime and man power. This service is available 24 hours, 7 days a week. Director Mark Aldridge has 28 years experience in the forestry industry and is well known for his splicing ability onsite.
